Blessings - a Side Note-ii

MareBearHitstheRoad Blogger Day 46 - April 4, 2010 - Unfortunately I was unable to complete my post on Resurrection Sunday but it is late and much has shaped what is now yesterday, and spilled into today. As I lay my head down for the night and prepare for another day filled with many challenges, I pray that everyone was as blessed as I was to have spent this day honoring my King, and giving thanks and praise for the redemption He has given by his blood.

Ephesians 2:8-9

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from youselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do " (Eph. 2:8,9).

As we begin every new season, and reflect on the ones past, are we saddened by what we have not accomplished or achieved; earned or gained OR...do we take a moment to breathe it all in and pray that whatever we have done, good or bad, for the right reason or wrong one, that somehow God has used that to bring Hope, Faith and Love to someone else on the planet. We are his greatest creation, let us walk a path that "strives" to be a Path driven by Him, Led by Him, Servitude to our brothers and sisters for Him...I say strive because there is no way on this earth that we can not sin or be perfect in sharing our faith...but IF we strive we can make a difference in the lives of others in service to the kingdom of heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ.

We also need to remember that ministry and servitude are more an attitude than anything. God doesn't ask all of us to go out and serve the homeless, or minister to the sheep, or lead the un-lead, or save the masses. We bring ministry and servitude to others by being the Light of Christ...all our good works mean nothing, the word above tells us so, but when we shine brightly with the Light of Christ, it is then that we can affect true change and work in the service we are called.

So as you follow this blog, my adventure, please always be aware that the joy and peace you hear; the laughter and humor I may share; or the compassion and caring or offering of a prayer is not of my doing but that of the Love that Jesus has given me and of which, I MUST give back to the others. It is a choice, A GOOD CHOICE, and I am excited to share it - whether it is with one person or 2, or a few or many - I am not ashamed nor embarrassed because words cannot harm me, for I am clothed in the armor and ready for the good fight wherever that may be. (Acts 20:24).

And finally, respectfully, I do not force this on anyone; if you do not agree and wish to express that, go for it...I have no problems with that and I am not so naive to believe it won't happen. But I do promise you one thing - that no matter what this message will always have a consistent theme - one of Faith, Hope and Love...and my replies will be reflective of that same heart.
